Gilwen the Wanderer
1. Name, race, class, age, alignment, deity etc.
Gilwen (Star maiden), remaining member of the house Tyrneamiltore (children of the moon), years… so many… I’ve lost count… 282? Give or take a century. Unaligned. Melora.2. Favored weapon or implement
Her Long Bow, which she calls Veryn, is a permanent fixation to her figure and she feels lost with out it. Try to take Veryn away from her. Just try.3. Where did you go to study? (You may create a city or town on the continent of Abyssinia that does not yet exist on the map. Just ask me first and let me know where you want it to be.)
Gilwen traveled to the Northrup wilderness to ‘target practice’ (aka hunt massive bears). Her devotion to the goddess Melora heightens her disgust with unnatural monsters that do not belong to the natural world.4. Who did you stay with? (Please create the name of the family and what they did or who they were.)
Gilwen spent her time with a clan of female barbarians. The clan G’lachtache was very… hospitable…? Refugees from an adjacent continent, they spent most of their time hunting, providing food and pelts not only for themselves but for those who live within the mountain ranges. They traded often with the dwarves. Warmth for stones. Pelts for weapons5. List 3 of the people you met while there and how you know them, Example: Father O’Branly- Trained me to cast rituals. Or Petra Milovich- swordmaster who took over my training after the first one was injured. (Oops).
a. Lorche- A young barbarian female, who on our first hunt managed to chase a monstrous bear like creature into a cave. The screams however told the hunting party that a.) Lorche was on her first and last hunt. And b.) We wanted to go the other way.
b. Borhin’le – Head of G’Lachtache, widower of 20 barbarian males (whose deaths were of questionable terms).. The short ‘rough around the edges’ female taught me the best way to fell unnatural beasts with a long bow as well as Cross bow.
c. Reashi- Gilwen made good friends with Reashi, an orphaned barbarian child who was wiser than her fellow clan members. It was possible that she was bewitched with unnatural learning, however Gilwen couldn’t be certain. It was a sad day when Gilwen watched Reashi being dragged aboard a passing slave ship. No matter how many arrows Gilwen let loose there were too many of them… Perhaps some day Reashi will once again have her freedom.6. What is your “profession” for normal folk?
Gilwen, though she lives on the edge of town preferring the woods and nature to the hustle of the port, is a practicing Fletcher. Artistic and unique in her Elvish designs and symbols many travelers purchase her craft for their usefulness, for their beauty and for their accuracy as well as just for souvenirs. She also takes it upon herself to teach some of the young peasant boys on the edges of the city to hunt and how to read the forest.7. Describe your character in form, personality, and what makes you you.
Gilwen is a quiet shifty ranger, who prefers the wilderness over people. Forsaken by her own House Gilwen usually goes by Gilwen the Wanderer, even though lately (the past 60 years) she has resided close by to Stone Cross, interested in the development and the growing cultural/social aspect of the multi species city. Having grown to enjoy the company of a few friends (you guys) She had decided that protecting Stone Cross in any way she could from the ‘unnatural world’ was in her best interest. Not all people are evil. Despite how much damage they can do with out even knowing it (filthy littering species). Gilwen doesn’t just hate being surrounded by people… Gilwen has a problem. She freaks out. It is a phobia of a sort, and she can become quite violent, blunt, and uncharismatic. She prefers to sit in the corner of the tavern and eye people moodily, just daring them to come say “OH HAI!!!!”. Her history in the wilderness is unaccountable, mainly living with and being a part of the natural world.
After discovering her dhapmiric heritage She has made it her goal to figure out what this means and why it caused the regection from her house that it did.
